Sick Day

IMG_1527

Last Monday I woke up feeling a little bit under the weather. Nothing too serious at first but as I was getting ready things took a turn for the worst. Rather then bring my sick self into work and make everyone else miserable I decided to work from home that day instead. Before I crawled back into my pajamas though I took a few shots of what I was planning to wear to work.  I figure *someone* should have a chance to see this cute new dress! My Mom actually picked this dress out during a...

I love Rock and Roll!

IMG_1357

A few weeks ago some coworkers and I decided to go out on a Friday night for some Karaoke.  Now granted I am not much of a singing kind of gal these days but there is a small little place, a “hole in the wall” really, that has some of the BEST songs in Toronto.  It is pretty much the only spot I will sing one song, usually near the end of the night once I have a bit of liquid courage. This first outfit is what I decided to wear on my 35th birthday kicking around Amsterdam with the man I love. Which was the perfect way to celebrate a significant milestone for me.   In the months leading up to my birthday I had begun to feel that the focus in our lives was starting to shift. And now there is no denying it, we are taking a turn in an unknown direction which is exciting but also a bit scary for me because I hate not knowing what may lie ahead. Normally I would be in a quiet...

Canadian missing eShakti

5331463497_1dc7755e0d_b

While I was on vacation in Amsterdam I received an email from eShakti stating that they would no longer be shipping to Canada.  The email went on to say that it is costing them around $60 to ship to Canada and they can no longer subsidize the cost.  I completely understand the reasoning behind stopping it until they can work out a better deal with their carrier but I have to admit I was disappointed when I received this news.  You see eShakti has become my go to place for dresses.  I have...
