Turning 35 is not so bad

A new year

This first outfit is what I decided to wear on my 35th birthday kicking around Amsterdam with the man I love. Which was the perfect way to celebrate a significant milestone for me.   In the months leading up to my birthday I had begun to feel that the focus in our lives was starting to shift. And now there is no denying it, we are taking a turn in an unknown direction which is exciting but also a bit scary for me because I hate not knowing what may lie ahead. Family, friends & acceptance

This weekend I had the pleasure of spending time with my mother and sisters. I knew it was going to be heavy on the sister/mother/daughter bonding moments so it was probably best that Gary went to Montreal for Fantasia and a heavy metal concert with some friends. I purchased it the first week of January and I have read 8 books on it so far this month. Cutting Pandora’s nails has become so much easier now that we take her to a...

2008 Holiday Relief

The holidays are now over and I have to say that once again I’ve been very lucky.  I got to spend it with family that I love dearly, both my own and Gary’s.  It was filled with good food, laughter and a lot of love. Unfortunately Gary came down with a case of strep throat and after an afternoon wait in the walkin clinic and some antibiotics he’s feeling much better.  But it meant that we had to stay another night in London.  At least Gary’s parent’s place in...
