Let there be dance!

Anyone that knows me knows that I love to dance and I especially love watching movies that feature dancers. So when I stumbled across this video via Dooce this morning you can imagine how happy it made me. I can pretty much name ever single movie that they sourced clips from and have watched almost all of them with the exception of some of the older clips.

Channeling an Airline StewardessFor some reason I decided to channel a 1950′s airline stewardess with this outfit but I love it. Looking back the night was a little too warm for the tights but I just loved the way they looked with these peep toed wedges. Wedges that were the starting point of this particular outfit.

Closet Shoppe: Jackets/Blazers

Well I decided to clean up my closet and let go of a few things. I have been hanging on to these blazers but they have not quite worked out for me for at least a couple of years. Rather than holding on to them for that magical day in the future when they will suddenly work for me I’ve decided to say goodbye to them.

Family, friends & acceptance

posed_MG_9638I had the pleasure of spending the weekend with my mother and sisters and I had a great time. My husband loves my family, but even I will admit that when the four of us get together it can be pretty intense. There is always a lot of laughter, talking over each other, teasing, bickering and hugging. But I love every moment of it because my family rocks. After this weekend I began to reflect a bit more on how they played such a role in my journey to size acceptance.
