Very nerdy day

Today I stayed home from work because I managed to give myself a mild concussion yesterday. Essentially it involved a slippery bathtub, flailing limbs and a ripped shower curtain (and then repeat because I’m an idiot who got back in the shower and fell again). It wasn’t pretty or sexy. I did not fall gracefully and I was rather stunned before I started to moan in pain.
The point is in between my 3 naps, I spent my day off messing around in the back end of my Wordpress site. I managed to create a couple of quicklinks in my Write Post page. So now I have the option to add a center div tag, float left div tag, and the piece to resistance…a quicklink that prompts me for all the items I need to create a lightbox image link. I’m very proud of myself. I also messed with the lightbox script a bit so that it displays the prev…next links on images that are part of a set, not just on hover but at a 25% opacity and they appear at the bottom of the image. The other little discovery I made today was the Windows XP option when uploading images to my Gallery. Basically it adds something to your registry that allows you to upload photos directly from your image folder to the folder of your choice in your Gallery. It’s some sweet coding and frankly I’m appalled that it took me this long to even look at the functionality. And if you’re wondering if this means that I’ve added some photos of the Festival of Fear then you’re right. I only resized Friday night’s photos and I’ll work on the rest this weekend. Those are coming up in the next post.
