Sympatico still sucks

We still don’t have internet access at home and it sucks. What we do have, however, is a laptop and a wireless connection from our neighbour Brett that comes and goes. We are supposed to be back up by Friday.

I still don’t believe them.

    Here, here! Less than a year ago I moved, much to the chagrin of Sympatico. To make a VERY long story short, it was 30 days after the move and still no Sympatico. Having enough, I asked them to cancel my account. They then told me it took 30 days to cancel an account and I would be charged for those 30 days. Are you kidding me!? It takes 30 days to cancel something I never got in the first place???? After much negotiating (yelling) they waved the charge for the last 30 days but I still have to pay for the first 30 days I never had connection. Hope this doesn’t happen to you as I am still shaking off effects of the corporate raping at the hands of Bell. I’ll keep an eye open in the Globe and Mail for a 30 year old female chained to the doors of Bell’s Head Office.

    Oh man that sucks! We finally got our connection going on Thursday night so at least I don’t have to deal with them any longer. It’s unfortunate but if we are going to get high speed we are either going to be raped by Bell or Rogers…that’s our only real choice.
