I know that it is 10:30 but considering I was up at 9:30 on a Saturday is pretty damn early for me. I am lucky that I do not have children and I have a litter box trained dog because it means that I can sleep in. This is very important to me because I am a “sleeper”.
The reason why I am up so early is because I am planning for our first dinner party tonight. Some close friends of ours are coming over to see the new place and partake in good food, booze and boardgames. It’s going to be a perfect evening.
With the help of the mighty WNET have given me some great ideas and the menu will consist of kabobs with chicken, beef and various veggies. Corn on the cob and either baked potatoes or a potato salad, I’m not sure. For appetizers we’re going to have hummus and roasted red pepper dips with pita as well as some cheese and crackers. We have the alcohol covered with beer, wine, rye and rum.
And I just spent the last hour and a half figuring out what kind of marinades we should make for our meats.
Man that sucked!
Ok off to go shopping
