Macs

Now I know I have friends that feel very strongly about either PC or Mac so I am quite well versed in both types of computers. I know all of the arguments for and against each type of platform, so there is no need to remind me of them.
What it comes down to is this, I’ve had a love affair with Mac for quite some time -but- I’ve never been able to afford the cost of the Mac computer that I want. PCs are cheaper and because of this I’ve always had a PC based machine but have wanted a Mac for as long as I can remember.
Now that my PC based machine is dead until I get a new fan for my motherboard, I’ve been pondering the type of Mac I would like to have. Now with the release of the new MacBook, I think I have found the machine that I can finally afford and is powerful enough to do what I want to do. I’ve always wanted a laptop and for $2000 it’s pretty on par with a PC equivalent laptop.
I don’t know if I would ever give up my tower because I built her and have become quite attached to her but having a laptop would be pretty damn sweet. Especially because I could actually hook her up to my monitor, keyboard and mouse at home so I would not have to worry about doing design work with a touch pad (pet peeve of mine).
I think once I get the camera I’ve been saving up for, the MacBook will be my next major purchase. Maybe by December it’ll be mine
