French manicure toe nails?

It’s getting warmer here way in Canada, and the sandals have broken out as an epidemic throughout Toronto. Normally I’m pretty ambivalent towards feet. I don’t care too much about them one way or the other but this morning I saw not one, not two, but three pairs of french manicured toe nails.

What the hell is up with that?

Seriously, who spends the time or money because I have to assume that these people do not do this themselves, to French manicure your toenails? First of all toe nails should not be long enough to put such a manicure on them. No, I refuse to budge on this point, they should not be that long! I can just imagine when they go to bed at night and she starts thrashing in her sleep scratching her partner unmercifully in the process.

Second, it looks ridiculous. If you want to go with white, go with an all white, if you want to go with natural looking polish then do it. But toenails do not naturally have a perfect white oval at their tips. It looks like you delicately dipped your feet into bird shit. The French manicure looks very classy on the hands because your nails already have a natural white crescent at the ends if you grow them out. I dare you to show me a baby toe that has this, they do not exist and again if you keep your toe nails at a respectable length.

All this talk reminds me that I need to go for my Spring pedicure and I will be painting my toe nails a gorgeous bright red. I will not be pretending that I have perfect odd looking crescents on my deformed little toe nails that can barely hold the red I slather on to it.
