It’s been a while since I’ve updated and there is a good reason for that. I’m extremely busy. Yes I’m always busy but even more so now.
I’m supposed to be going through my room in an attempt to weed out what I don’t want to move in a couple of weeks. This ends up being a very tedious process because I have a tendency to becoming attached to things. Clothes, books, paperwork etc. I’m afraid of what I need to do when I go through my desk. It’s become a dumping zone. I have a full days work just going through the crap I have in my desk. Most of it can be shredded I think but I never know. I need a new file folder. Mmmm file folders, that means a trip to an office supply store. Seriously that is like taking me to a candy store. I *love* office supplies, love them.
I’m also taking a course in Usability at the University of Toronto. It’s a pretty good course. Not awe inspiring but I’m leaning something and work is paying for it. It’s just a lot of work. This is a huge eye opener for me. I had romanticized school for so long I actually thought I liked the homework. Maybe I did at the time, but now I find it’s just another drain on my precious time that I don’t want to give. I’m much more for learning on my own now. I find I prefer moving at my own pace.
Next week will be exciting though and busy! It is my last day of class on Wednesday and this is also Gary’s birthday. Which reminds me I need to get Horrorpop tickets for him. I hate that Rotate This is not selling them, it is so easy for me to walk there after work and pick things up.
The following day, however, I’m taking Pandora in to the vet for surgery. My baby has a tumor in her ear. It’s not really bothering her but the thing is growing like mad. Seriously, my dog will have an additional head if this keeps up. The surgery could not have come at a worse time. With the move, Gary’s birthday, first and last months rent and then surgery + blood work which is going to cost about $900 when all is said and down makes things rather tight for me right now. Luckily I managed to save some money so I have enough to cover everything, it will just mean I need to tighten my purse strings.
I have so many other entries in my head that I want to get out. Things about living in my haunted house in Hamilton, Gary’s awesome family, my father living with us, Pandora’s crazy antics, but to actually sit down and write them. I doubt that’s going to happen any time soon. I keep telling myself once May comes I’ll have the time,but realistically it won’t happen.
Oh and my floor hockey team came in third I believe after the playoff games. We *rocked* that game. With two girls, two guys and a goalie having to be on at all times and only having one girl as a sub we beat our opposing team 10 – 4. And they had about 12 people there to rotate and keep fresh. We went from 11th place out of 12 to 3rd. Fear us, and specifically my kick ass defense skills.
Yeah that entry was all over the place. Oh well.
