♦ Cardigan: Torrid ♦ Cotton Dress: Dorothy Perkins ♦ OTK Socks: Sock Dreams ♦ Boots: Joseph Campbell ♦
On Monday I worked from home but had to run a few errands around the neighbourhood in the morning. Since I wasn’t seeing any clients or going into an office I decided to go for pure comfort and busted out the cotton dress and OTK socks. The only time I wear these socks and their ilk are weekends and evenings since I think they are bit too revealing for work. I love them though because they are just the perfect amount of warmth on a spring day so I refuse to give them up completely.
What I liked about this outfit is that it was comfortable but still had some personality. The cardigan’s neutral print is fun and its length creates an elongating vertical stripe. Wanting to keep that line unbroken I kept it simple with the accessories and wore a single long necklace that echoes the length of the cardigan. The grey socks were pulled up high enough to keep me warm and only a bit of skin showed. What really sold me on this outfit though was pairing it with these boots. They are not quite over the knee on me but they hit my leg in the perfect spot so that the grey socks did not overwhelm the bottom half of my outfit. Now I am planning how I can style my purple OTK socks. They deserve some love.
