Mumford and Sons

Mumford and Sons

For Christmas, Gary bought me a Mumford & Sons CD and I have been listening to it on repeat pretty much consistently since. Every single one of their songs fills my heart with a sense of beauty and longing and I just can not seem to get enough of their music. I know that they are becoming popular as of late and rightfully so because the raw emotions they invoke through their music is not something you can deny.

Here is one of my favourite songs called White Blank Page from their Bookshop Sessions. And did you notice the Arthurian and Faery sections in the library? That brought a smile to my face.

I also wanted to share with you a little documentary they have on their YouTube channel called “Gentlemen on the Road”. I have to admit that after watching it I would imagine that having a pint in a pub with them would be pretty rad.

I’ve heard 2 of their songs and I love them both! I find it hard to describe what it is that makes me love them. They sound somewhat medievil!

Natalie, I can completely tell what you mean when you say they sound medieval. I think it’s the folk aspect to their music that gives it that quality. I would really recommend buying their album if you like the two songs you have heard 🙂
