Muckross Raven

I was revisiting some of my pictures from our Honeymoon in Ireland and Scotland and realized I have not really posted anything about that trip.  So instead of bombarding you with a tonne of photos all at once I’ll post some here occasionally so I can slowly relive that amazing trip.

This particular photo was taken in Killarney while we were staying at The Lake Hotel.  Our two wonderful nights there was our one true splurge of the trip and the bath alone was worth every penny.  On our full day there we decided to go for a walk and we stumbled across Muckross House.  As we were wandering up the beautiful lane way to the house perched on one of the stone lamps was this very inquisitive raven….or maybe it was a crow I could not really see the tail feathers.  I was lucky enough to snap a few shots before it left in search of something more interesting then a Canadian traveler.

Even when I took the shot I was thinking of Violet and Melle since I always associate ravens and crows with these ladies…so this picture is dedicated to them….
