Queen street

One of the wonderful things about living in Toronto is the diversity, especially the diversity in attire. Seriously, every single type of style you can imagine can be found right on Queen Street from East to West. Last night on my streetcar ride home I noticed a few choice articles that I thought were…amusing…in their own ways.

  1. The Goth boy who thought it was a great idea to wear army boots, black jeans, black hoody and leather trench coat in 30 degree weather
  2. The 60 year old woman who accidentally raided her granddaughter’s closet and sported a tube top in fluorescent pink and jean shorts held together with an elastic band around the snap because they didn’t fit. It was OK though because her sagging flesh hid it when she sat down.
  3. The person who sat beside me on the streetcar who thought dirt was an accessory. His other accessories included an old radio that blared EZ Rock, multiple key chains attached to his pants and a wicker basket. He also though that bathing was an occasional monthly treat.
  4. The 15 year old kid who had to walk in baby scissor steps because the waist of his pants was belted around the middle of his thighs. He also could not get enough of scratching the three hairs on his chest by lifting up his jersey shirt and exposing his dingy boxers. Hopefully you’ll fill out in time.
  5. The attractive lady who had on a gorgeous work suit and decided to top it off with $1.50 plastic Wal-mart flip flops and clown makeup

Oh I could go on, but I should get back to work ;)
